A man and his dog lost their lives when the pick-up truck they were traveling in was destroyed in an accident with two big rig trucks. According to news reports, a man in a pickup pulled out in front of a semi-truck headed east on Highway 166 and was broadsided. The semi pushed the truck into the opposite lanes where he was hit again by another oncoming big rig truck.
Firefighters were called in to extinguish the flames of the pick-up truck wreckage and rescue the trapped man from inside his mangled vehicle. The driver died at the scene from severe injuries sustained in the auto collision. His truck was completely burnt and had to be towed away to clear lanes on the highway. The big rig truck drivers were not hurt in the accident.
