According to recent news articles, a suspected drunken driver was sent to the hospital after an accident that happened last Sunday.
The official accident reports demonstrate that the motorist was driving his 2007 Ford F-250 pickup truck at high rates of speed on the westbound lanes of the 10 Freeway when he allowed his pickup truck to veer into the number 2 lane. According to the California Highway Patrol troopers who responded to the scene, the vehicle sideswiped a 2006 BMW 330i, which caused the second vehicle driver to lose control of the wheel. The truck continued to slide until it crashed into the sound wall. The impact forced the truck back into the lanes where it crashed into a 2001 Daewoo Laganza, which did not veer off because the driver was able to maintain the vehicle steady. The truck continued to go across the lanes where it rear ended a 2010 Infiniti G-35, which prompted the truck into the center divider wall before the vehicle overturned and finally rested.
The impact forced the driver out of his vehicle since he wasn’t wearing his seat belt and a fire was ignited. The Infiniti was also engulfed in flames but both drivers were able to get out of their vehicles before the flames took over both cars.
At this moment, both motorists are being treated in local hospitals. Further details regarding this accident have not yet been reported. Hopefully, they are being able to recover quickly from their wounds. My sympathy goes out to them.
