Two motorists lost their lives in a major auto crash in San Diego on the 805 freeway. According to news reports, two lanes of the freeway were temporarily closed while the accident was being investigated by CHP officers. The eastbound and westbound on-ramps to south I-805 from Clairemont Mesa Boulevard also closed to traffic. Apparently a semi-truck T-boned another vehicle, inflicting severe damage to the automobile. The car, with damage on the passenger side, came to rest off the right shoulder of the freeway near some trees and a concrete retaining wall.
Authorities declared two of the crash victims dead at the scene of the accident. Paramedics evacuated one person to Sharp Memorial Hospital to receive emergency care for injuries sustained.
As a San Diego personal injury lawyer I urge motorists to use great care when traveling in the proximity of a big rig truck. Trucks are slow to brake and hard to maneuver due to their large size and weight. If you or a loved one were hurt in a truck accident, speak with a personal injury lawyer to discuss your legal options.
