Volkswagen is placing a voluntary recall on certain automobile models, due to the tire assembly of these vehicles posing a potential danger.
According to an official recall statement published by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration on the federal agency’s website, the recalled 2012 Beetle vehicles do not meet the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards, and the Volkswagen company is calling owners of the automobiles to alert them of the recall.
