The California Highway Patrol is still investigating a collision that occurred last Saturday to determine if drugs or alcohol were a factor. The crash happened when a 22-year-old from Fremont’s vehicle hit three cars and was broadsided by a fourth vehicle on Vasco Road during rainy weather. The driver was speeding at unknown speeds in her Dodge Neo just before midnight when the collisions happened. She lost control of her vehicle on the rain-soaked roads. Her car began turning sideways, and was broadsided by a 24-year-old man from Discovery Bay driving northbound in Ford Focus. The driver of the Focus was not injured in the crash, but the driver from Fremont succumbed to her injuries at the site of the crash.
According to news reports, the Neon crossed over the double-yellow line and sideswiped three vehicles. As a Riverside personal injury lawyer, my thoughts are with the family of those involved in this collision. If you or a loved one were hurt in an auto wreck caused by negligent driving, discuss your case with a car accident attorney who can assess your case and evaluate a claim you may have.
