Three big rig trucks collided on the 10 freeway, closing a stretch of highway in the Mojave desert for much of the morning. California Highway Patrol says three big rigs, including one hay truck, were involved in the crash. According to KPSP Local News diesel fuel and another acid was leaking out of one truck and onto the freeway.
There were no injuries reported from the trucking accident. CalTrans road crews towed the wrecked trucks off the highway and performed clean up operations to contain the diesel gas and chemical spill. CHP officers have warned commuters to expect delays.
Truck accidents can cause an immense amount of property damage. Trucks towing large amounts of weight are susceptible to jackknifing because the vehicle becomes more difficult to steer. As a Riverside personal injury lawyer I urge truck drivers to pull off to the side of the road and sleep if feeling fatigued. Driving sleepy is extremely dangerous and is a major contributor to crashes involving 18 wheelers. If you or a loved one were injured from a truck crash, speak with a personal injury attorney for important legal advice.
