According to news sources, a two-vehicle collision sent four people to the hospital Tuesday afternoon after a driver failed to stop at a stop sign at an intersection.
The accident took place at an intersection between Sunset Boulevard and Howard Road, a California Highway Patrol spokesperson said.
A 23-year-old man driving a 1991 Honda Accord traveling at 40 to 50 mph failed to stop at the intersection stop sign and subsequently collided with a vehicle traveling on the roadway.
The driver of the Honda sustained moderate injuries in the crash. The driver of the other vehicle as well as two other passengers were seriously injured.
All those injured were transported to Modesto area hospitals for treatment.
The CHP has said that alcohol does not seem to be a factor in the accident.
