According to articles released recently, a driver was arrested after an accident that happened on the 5 Freeway.
Multiple news agencies have indicated that a man from Glendale was driving a 1998 Oldsmobile Cutlass the wrong way while traveling on the Colorado Street freeway extension. The driver allowed his vehicle to veer off the road and crash into a tree. The passenger sitting in the backseat did not have his seat belt buckled up at the time of the accident, and he ended up being ejected from the vehicle as a result of the accident.
The passenger was declared dead at the scene.
The driver was arrested by local authorities while a second passenger was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. The California Highway Patrol is now investigating the accident.
