According to a series of news articles, a baby was seriously injured as a result of an accident that happened in Cambria last Tuesday.
An official report that has been recently issued by the California Highway Patrol has revealed that a baby was accidentally run over by a vehicle that was being driven by a close family member. According to the troopers who responded to the accident scene, the baby got away from the family gathered in front of a home at the same time that a woman got inside of her car to leave. According to the news, the driver slowly started to pull away from the house when she suddenly felt the vehicle had hit something.
Troopers reported that the baby was breathing and also conscious. According to an official report issued by the authorities right after the accident, the baby was rushed to the hospital with possible head injuries. Details regarding the extent of the wounds were not immediately available.
The accident that happened near Hartford Street is still being investigated. More information should be available soon.
It’s my sincere hope as a Redwood City personal injury lawyer that this baby is now recovering completely from all wounds. My sympathy goes out to the baby’s family during this recovery period. I urge parents to be extremely careful with their young toddlers around driveways. Never lose track of your baby anywhere near roads or busy streets. Drivers should also be very attentive whenever driving through residential streets where kids like to play and may be more difficult to be seen.
Hopefully, motorists in California are being able to learn from this occurrence.
Whenever you or a loved one is injured severely in an accident that was caused by an inattentive driver, please consider consulting with a personal injury lawyer and ask for a free evaluation of your case right away.
