A woman was hit by a car while crossing Mt. Vernon Ave. in Bakersfield on Wednesday evening. The crash, which happened around 6:30pm resulted in major head injuries. California Highway Patrol reported that a man was driving southbound and became distracted by a bicyclist in the center median. When he looked back at the road, he informed officers, he hit the pedestrian who was crossing in the crosswalk and wearing dark clothes. As a Los Angeles personal injury lawyer, my thoughts are with those involved in this collision and I hope she makes a quick and full recovery. If you or a loved one were hurt in an auto accident resulting from negligence, discuss your case with a qualified car accident lawyer.
