According to a series of news articles, certain lots of benzalkonium chloride swabs and antiseptic wipes are being recalled by DUKAL Corporation due to a possible Burkholderia cepacia.
The infections that this contamination could lead patients to experience could cause very serious results, especially if people who are affected happen to have a compromised immune system. Consumers are encouraged to dispose of or return the products to ensure their safety.
