Police arriving at the scene of a vehicle fire were expecting to find a car accident this morning, not a crime scene out of a gangster movie. Police sent in the bomb squad to investigate a suspicious car fire after discovering a dead body in the trunk. CBS News in Los Angeles reported that the California Highway patrol found a car on fire underneath an overpass in Studio City, California around 3am.
Firefighters were called in to put out the car fire, closing the 101 freeway to traffic in order to investigate the scene and collect evidence. The bomb squad arrived to investigate the car fire after police identified suspicious wires indicating a possible bomb in the car. Homicide detectives were called in to investigate the crime scene and gather evidence. No suspects have yet to be named and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information on the car fire murder is encouraged to call 911.
As a personal injury attorney in Los Angeles I trust in the LAPD to bring the criminals that committed this heinous murder to justice. Car fires like this put the public in danger as the explosive elements in a car could damage buildings or the freeway overpass.
