The company Mack Trucks, Inc. has revealed in the report released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that model year 2012 to 2013 GU trucks are being recalled.
According to the news, the vehicles in question were manufactured between February 12th, 2010 and January 18th, 2012 and they may be equipped with faulty components that may affect the vehicle’s service brakes and the air-supply-check valve, which could possibly lead to an internal leakage.
The brake application could also overheat and lead to a probable loss of driver’s control, which could cause a crash.
Since there isn’t a permanent remedy for this particular issue, the company is offering a temporary repair until the company is capable of developing a real answer for this issue. Recalled truck owners are advised they should contact the company as soon as possible.
Any Oakland personal injury lawyer can tell you that certain recalled vehicles can pose a serious risk to you and your loved ones. As a concerned attorney, I encourage you to check your truck for the recalled model right away and to contact the manufacturer if you happen to own one of the vehicle models listed in this recall alert.
Keep it in mind that if you or a dear friend is ever injured as a result of an accident caused by the negligence of another driver or company, you may wish to contact a personal injury lawyer near you to assess your case promptly.
