General Motors, simply known as GM, is recalling Cadillac SRX vehicles manufactured between October 2008 and June 2011. The recall was announced after the company found problems with the vehicles’ transmission shift cables.
According to official announcements, the driver may face certain difficulties when attempting to shift the transmission out of gear since the cables were not correctly installed. This problem may cause serious vehicular crashes if not properly fixed.
In accordance with the news, GM is currently working to contact owners of this model and guarantees that all affected vehicles can be repaired at their respective dealers.
The company has stated that there are approximately 8,789 vehicles affected by this recall.
As a Los Angeles car accident lawyer, I’m glad that the carmaker was able to address this recall in a timely manner before any reports of injuries or major accidents linked to this recalled vehicle have surfaced. I urge Cadillac SRX owners to contact their dealers immediately to have their vehicles promptly fixed.
I highly recommend those who might have been severely injured in accidents caused by a third party to contact a personal injury lawyer in their city to ask for a free evaluation of their case.
