News from the San Bernardino Freeway BB Gun Sniper! According to this article I read, a certain cable man from San Bernardino County has given his plead as not guilty for the firing of BB’s at more than a dozen cars on Southern California freeways. The man from Apple Valley was arraigned on Monday on five counts; assault with a deadly weapon, shooting a BB gun negligently and vandalism.
The freeways the man lay in court for shooting at are interstates 10, 15, 215 and the state highways 60 and 91. These freeways are driven by millions of people and could have potentially caused major damage and injuries. The cable man is justifiably being held on bail for $250,000 and he can face up to 11 years in jail if he is convicted of all counts. As an accident attorney in Los Angeles I travel our freeways frequently. I know as Californians we already deal with the headaches and dangers of traffic then add to that some prankster makes everything worse. Hopefully they come down hard on this person (if truly convicted) so that others don’t get the same “bright” idea.
