A 56-year-old man from Vacaville was involved in multi-car crash which closed Interstate 505. He was brought into custody after an accident that resulted from “alcohol impairment.” He was driving south with a 48-year-old passenger just before 9:45pm when his 2008 Chevy Silverado “weaved” to the left lane and hit an abandoned car parked within the center median. After the collision, his truck came to a rest in the left-hand land and blocked traffic. His car was then hit by a Pathfinder, whose driver could not stop his vehicle before hitting him.
According to news reports, the sport utility vehicle then spun into the median and collided with a chain-link fence. Another oncoming vehicle hit the crashed vehicle, driven by a 54-year-old man from Fairfield. Southbound traffic was halted for about an hour while vehicle occupants were taken to nearby emergency rooms. As a Oakland personal injury lawyer, I’m glad no one was injured more severely and I hope everyone heals quickly from their injuries. If you or a loved one were hurt in a crash caused by negligence, discuss your case with an Oakland car accident lawyer.
