According to multiple news agencies, a lack of pasteurization has forced Andante Dairy to recall its cheeses except for its Musette, Tomme Dolce, and Etude brands.
The California State Veterinarian ordered the recall after realizing the milk used in these products was not properly pasteurized. Almost all of the affected cheese items were sold in California but a few were possibly sold in the Chicago and New York areas. The affected cheese brands come in five to eight ounce sizes but have no identifying code date on its packages. While a lack of pasteurization can cause illness in consumers, no illnesses have been reported up to this moment.
