Ironically, a newly patented program from RIM requires phones users to type a CAPTCHA before being allowed to text while driving in order to prevent texting while driving.
While this technology may deter some would-be-texters, a majority of users would be distracted for greater amounts of time, according to the news. The technology was patented in 2009 and has yet to be included to newer smartphones. There are already several different apps available to curtail texting while driving that should be more efficient.
