According to the news, GE annouced that it is recalling over 1 million dishwashers in the United States.
The recall statement claims that the heating elements present in these dishwashers may overheat unexpectedly due to an assembly failure, which in turn can start a fire.
All the units were manufactured in the U.S. and they are sold in several different colors. Consumers who believe they may have been affected by this recall may contact GE by telephone or online for more information regarding the dangers they could be facing if they do not respond to this recall.
