Multiple news sources have been reporting nationwide that Dried Bream is being recalled by the Euphoria Fancy Food Company over a potential health risk.
According to the official recall statement issued by the Food and Drug Administration, Inspectors for the New York State Department of Agriculture discovered during testing that the fish had not been properly eviscerated prior to being processed and sold to consumers. This increases the risk of contamination with bacteria that causes Botulism since that bacteria is concentrated in the fish’s viscera. To avoid illnesses and keep consumers safe, the company decided to issue this recall announcement along the FDA as soon as possible.
Although no incidents or illnesses have been reported in association with this product up to this moment, the federal agency has urged you to check if you have these items in your possession right away. If you do, ensure your own safety and the safety of your loved ones by returning these potentially contaminated food items to the place of purchase right away.
As a personal injury lawyer, I understand that a recall announcement that is related to a food item that could pose a serious health risk to consumers should never be ignored. If you have this item in your possession or know someone who does, do not hesitate and have these products returned at once. Putting your life and the lives of others at risk is just not worth it.
