A four car pile-up on the 80 freeway resulted in multiple drivers sustaining injuries. According to news reports, construction work on an over-crossing caused traffic to back up onto an off-ramp. A motorist rear-ended a Chevy Silverado leading to a chain reaction car accident involving two other drivers. One of the crash victims was apparently a local police officer.
Paramedics were called to the scene to attend to the injured crash victims. Two of the motorists were treated for accident injuries at a local hospital after complaining of pain. Traffic on the freeway was backed up as emergency responders were called in to deal with the crash scene. The crash victims are expected to make a full recovery from injuries sustained.
As a personal injury lawyer in Sacramento I urge motorists to never tailgate the vehicle in front of them. Drivers that tailgate run a high risk of being involved in a rear-end collision. If you or a loved one were hurt in an auto accident, speak with an experienced personal injury lawyer to ensure that your legal rights are protected.
