Gerber Legendary Blades of Portland, Oregon, is taking part in a voluntary recall of about 119,000 units of Gerber Bear Grylls Parang Machetes.
The reports show that the machetes were sold in sporting stores nationwide for about forty-three dollars or for $349 as part of an “Apocalypse Survival Kit.” Apparently, a frail spot in the blade and handle meeting point can result in either one breaking during normal usage, if this occurs, consumers could become injured.
