A car accident in Los Angeles turned creepy this morning when an automobile flew off the side of the 110 freeway and all the occupants disappeared. According to a news report released by the Los Angeles Times, witnesses saw the car drive off the freeway and tumble down an embankment. Emergency services combed through the area searching for survivors of the car accident but none of the car’s occupants were found.
Northbound lanes of the 110 freeway near Elysian Park were closed while California Highway Patrol officers and paramedics investigated the car accident scene. CalTrans crews cleared debris left over by the car wreck from the roadway with officers opening up the freeway to traffic by mid morning. No further information on the car accident has been released by traffic authorities.
While we don’t know exactly what happened in this instance, it’s important to remember that fleeing the scene of a car accident or staging an auto accident is a serious crime. As a personal injury attorney in Los Angeles I urge individuals involved in a car accident incident to call emergency services after an accident occurs and seek medical treatment right away if they are injured.
