According to several news agencies covering recall alerts, Husqvarna has issued a recall for several units of Grass and Hedge Trimmers over the possibility these trimmers could pose a fire hazard to users.
The official announcement released by the Consumers Product Safety Commission shows that at least 6,500 hedge trimmers and 19,500 grass trimmers distributed by Husqvarna Professional Products Inc. were equipped with a rubber spacer designed to hold the fuel lines in the fuel tank that could experience some leakage. If the fuel leaks, the product could ignite and pose a fire risk to consumers.
According to the firm, seven reports of fuel leaking have surfaced so far, however, nobody was injured. Recalled units belong to the following models: Husqvarna Grass Trimmer Model 122C, Hedge Trimmers Models 122HD60 and 122HD45. Affected units have serial numbers that could range from 2011 17 00001 to 2011 52 99999.
As a personal injury lawyer Redwood City, I hope the recall is successful and urge you to verify if you own one of these recalled trimmers immediately. Never ignore a recall alert and remember that certain products cause injuries even before any recall is issued. Stay alert and never allow a company’s negligence to cause you or a loved one any harm.
I urge you to return your recalled grass or hedge trimmers to the place of purchase to ask for a free repair as soon as possible.
Keep it in mind that if you’re ever injured through the use of a recalled product, you could consider consulting with a personal injury lawyer in your area to learn about the legal options available to your case.
