Wednesday afternoon, a major backup was the result of a tractor-trailer overturning on Highway 101. Shoes, clothes and home furniture was spilled all over the road. The crash happened around 12:15pm when a Ford Pathfinder SUV drove southbound along Highway 101. The SUV got a flat tire, causing it to lose control, said the California Highway Patrol. The SUV collided with the tractor-trailer, causing it to overturn and spill its contents onto the roadway. CHP did not report any injuries in the collision, but traffic was backed up to Caulfield Drive. The mess took about two hours to clean while traffic was rerouted to South Petaluma Boulevard exit.
According to news reports, many drivers passing by the scene of the incident slowed to look at the wreckage, causing continuously slow traffic as they were rerouted. As a Ventura personal injury lawyer, I hope nobody was injured when the semi-truck overturned onto Highway 101. If you or a loved one are harmed in an auto accident caused by negligence, discuss your case with a car accident lawyer who can evaluate your claim.
