Multiple news agencies have revealed that Honda has issued a recall for two of its models, the Honda CR-V and the Acura ILX vehicles.
Model year 2012 for the CR-V and model year 2013 for the Acura ILX are impacted by this recall announcement, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The recall is due to a problem with the interior front door handles and door latches.
The federal agency revealed that the doors could possibly become open while the vehicles are in use. Honda plans to notify owners and dealers and will fix or replace the potentially defective latch without charge.
