The Lee Carter Co. has voluntarily decided to recall all of their infant rattles under the guidance by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. According to the news, these items were previously sold at Mexican specialty craft stores throughout the United States.
According to the federal agency, the multicolored rattles posed a threat to the health of infants and are therefore prohibited from being resold.
Although there have been no reported instances of injuries, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has determined that the size of the handle poses enough risk to be dangerous to infants. All parents are already advised to remove the toy from their infants immediately and return them to the store they originated from for a complete refund.
As a Long Beach personal injury attorney, I urge parents to follow this request from the CPSC and return this infant rattles at once. I hope this recalled product causes no injuries.
