A green Jeep Cherokee spun out of control on the southbound lanes of Interstate 5, close to the Colusa-Glenn County line. The unidentified driver suffered from serious injuries. Another motorist barely avoided hitting the object which appeared in front of the Jeep, causing it to overturn, rolling several times. The object was only described as “something black.” The Jeep landed on its side on the right shoulder of the highway, and the driver was stuck inside for several minutes. Rescue helicopters were unable to arrive at the scene due to heavy fog. An ambulance took the injured driver to Enloe at 4pm.
According to news reports, visibility at the time of the crash was low, only a quarter-mile. The crash remains under investigation, and whether or not the bad weather conditions contributed to the collision, says the California Highway Patrol. As a Los Angeles car accident lawyer, I hope investigators discover the cause of the crash, and the Jeep driver heals from his wounds as soon as possible. If you or a loved one were hurt in a car accident, it would be in your best interest to consult with a personal injury lawyer Los Angeles as soon as possible regarding your collision.
