Approximately 12,600 2011 model year Kia Sorentos are included in the recall.

This production flaw may produce a “whirring noise” during driving. If left uncorrected, the transmission could become damaged and the SUV could eventually lose power, which could cause a collision,” according to news reports.
The recalled vehicles were manufactured through May 2010, according to news reports.
