Several vehicles collided in a chain reaction crash on the 101 freeway in downtown Los Angeles, causing a traffic catastrophe for morning commuters. According to news reports, the car crash, occurred around 6 a.m. near Glendale Boulevard and involved at least three vehicles, including a silver Toyota SUV that overturned in the middle of the freeway.
Authorities closed a portion of the 101 freeway during morning rush hour, backing up traffic for several miles on the first day of school for many children in Los Angeles. Paramedics rushed one crash victim to a local hospital to receive medical care for injuries sustained. CalTrans crews quickly responded to the crash to clear debris and wreckage from lanes.
As a Los Angeles personal injury lawyer I urge drivers to never tailgate due to the risk of being involved in a rear end collision. Motorists should always keep a safe distance away from the vehicle in front of them to decrease the chance of an auto accident occurring. If you were hurt due to another driver’s negligence, speak with a car accident lawyer to discuss your legal options.
