An accident that happened in Mission Valley claimed the life of a motorcyclist, according to a series of news agencies.
The California Highway Patrol official accident report revealed that the rider was traveling on the ramp from the Interstate 8 eastbound lanes to the northbound lanes of the State Route 163 when he was suddenly struck in the face and knocked over from the motorcycle by landscaping debris at about 8:30 in the morning. The man fell from his 2011 Harley Davidson that was later found 100 yards from the downed rider.
The authorities declared the rider dead at the scene of the crash.
