In accordance with the information found in a recent recall announcement issued by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Thor Motor Coach has issued yet another voluntary recall of several 2008, 2010 and 2011 Outlaw and Avanti models of recreational vehicles because of a potential hydraulic braking issue.
There is a concern about dragging, overheating, and reduced performance after periods of disuse.
According to the recall statement issued by the company along the federal agency, owners will be notified and dealers will perform repairs free of charge to all vehicles affected.
Up to this moment, no injuries or accidents related to these recalled models of vehicles have been reported to the firm but to prevent accidents, the carmaker decided to put safety ahead of profits by issuing this recall announcement through the federal agency’s website.
As a personal injury attorney, I’m glad this recall alert was issued quickly and before anybody was injured in any way.
I hope to see that other companies are becoming more attentive when it comes to checking their products before they are distributed to dealers and retailers. I encourage you to never ignore a recall announcement and to heed federal agencies when a recall is issued to a vehicle or product that could pose a serious risk to you and your loved ones.
