According to news sources, a man died while riding a motorcycle near Dillion Road when he reportedly lost control of the motorcycle and ended up crashing into a dirt ridge.
The incident took place as the motorcyclist was riding a 1997 Harley Davidson on Thousand Palms Canyon Road when he reportedly lost control and veered off the roadway, a California Highway Patrol officer said.
The man was ejected from the motorcycle after he crashed into a dirt ridge, sustaining fatal injuries as a result. He was reportedly not wearing the correct protective gear at the time when the accident took place, the CHP said.
The CHP is currently investigating the accident. No other injuries or collisions associated with the incident were reported.
