According to news sources, a motorcyclist was killed Saturday when he reportedly lost control of his motorcycle and collided with a big rig truck and subsequently another vehicle on the roadway.
The 39-year-old man was traveling in Westwood on San Diego (405) freeway when the accident took place, the California Highway Patrol said. The man was reportedly attempting to maneuver his motorcycle in a tight space when he seems to have lost control of it before rear-ending a big rig. Upon collision the motorcycle continued to rear-end another vehicle on the roadway, this time a Toyota Corolla, a CHP official said.
The man was ejected from the motorcycle and died at the scene of the crash after sustaining fatal injuries.
The accident caused the closure of lanes on the freeway for several hours before officials reopened it.
