An off-duty assistant police chief aided in an arrest of a suspected drunk driver early Sunday morning in Studio City, according to news sources.
The assistant chief was driving an unmarked car when she noticed the driver and followed him from Studio City to Pacoima, after seeing the driver run into the median on the Ventura 101 Freeway around 3:20 a.m.
She followed the driver from there to the 405, then to the 118, where the suspect pulled over near Glenoaks Boulevard. California Highway Patrol officers had arrived by then and arrested him.
The incident is still under investigation. No one was injured during the incident.
