Officers Calling For ‘Black Boxes’ In Newer Vehicles

Some Scottish Police law enforcement agencies are calling for new cars to include both cruise control systems and “black boxes” to collect driver information on new and current drivers.

The Police officials interviewed for this piece have noted that around 2,000 people have been killed in car accidents this past year with in the UK area, which could be used as evidence that such a system needs to be put in place for the sake of drivers and passengers in the future. Other groups such as the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents agree and are working to install such monitoring systems in younger people’s cars.
