A driver was pulled to the side of the highway to look up directions in Oroville when another car rear-ended him. The collision caused his car to hit a pedestrian. The 27-year-old was not completely out of the westbound lane, said California Highway Patrol, when she pulled her Volkswagen over to look at directions. A 38-year-old from Oroville hit her vehicle and the impact caused the Volkswagen to hit a 21-year-old pedestrian. Police arrived on the scene to treat the victim, although she did not appear to have any major injuries, however she may have internal damage or back injuries which had to be looked at right away. She was treated at Enloe.
According to news reports, witnesses are still being interviewed, and no one has been charged at this time. As a Los Angeles personal injury lawyer, I hope the pedestrian heals quickly, and that investigators discover the exact circumstances behind the collision.
