A woman lost her life when she was hit by a car while running across lanes of the 680 freeway in Northern California. According to news reports, the woman was running toward the west shoulder of the freeway when she was hit by a Honda driven by a man traveling with his family. Another vehicle ran over the lady while she laid unconscious in the roadway.
Apparently authorities from the CHP believe that the woman may have been intoxicated when she ran across the freeway. Further details were not immediately available by authorities, although more information is expected to be released in the coming days.
