According to several news sources, Corp Micro Bird, Inc. has recalled certain model year 2011 Micro Bird/ MB ll school buses manufactured between Aug 16th and Sep 16th 2011. The reason behind the recall is that the portable child seats in the buses were not installed according to the motor vehicle safety standard. In the event of a crash, a child could be injured as a result of the improper installment of the safety seats.
Micro Bird stated that owners would be notified immediately so dealers will install the missing anchorages that would remedy the issue free of charge.
