Recalled Stroller Causes One Death, CPSC Alerts Consumers

Peg Perego issued a recall for 223,000 strollers since there is a risk of entrapment and strangulation.

After a terrible report of one child becoming strangled to death in association with this product and another nearly dying of strangulation, the company along the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission decided to issue a nationwide recall statement to prevent future fatalities from happening.

These strollers are dangerous because an infant can pass through the opening between the stroller tray and seat bottom. The head and neck of an infant can become entrapped by the tray causing death.
