A 53-year-old man from Woodland was arrested for reckless driving on Highway 16. He was driving his 1996 Nissan Sentra eastbound when dispatchers received a call alerting law enforcement of his recklessness, including speeding, crossing double yellow lines and unsafely passing other cars on the road. He was stopped by police at 5:14pm at County Road. He admitted to not having a driver’s license and having fake registration tabs, and was immediately arrested and his vehicle towed. Police also saw an open container in his car, but he was not determined to be drunken driving. The driver also admitted to violating probation in a child support case. According to Yolo Superior court, he pleaded no contest and was given three years probation.
According to news reports, the suspect continued to refuse paying child support and thus violated his probation. As a Los Angeles personal injury attorney, I hope nobody was hurt by the reckless driver. If you or a loved one were harmed by a reckless driver, discuss your case with a knowledgeable and qualified car accident lawyer who can evaluate your claim, assess a potential case, and help protect your rights.
