An accident has been reported in Fresno County and according to a string of news articles a 43-year-old woman from San Jose was killed as a result.
The accident, according to several news agencies, happened when a 2000 GMC was rear-ended by a second vehicle driven by a 55-year-old from Roseville while traveling on the Interstate 5. According to the California Highway Patrol troopers who responded to the scene, the GMC vehicle was forced off the road, which led the vehicle to roll over into the center median and crash. Troopers claimed that the woman suffered fatal injuries and was later pronounced dead at the scene while her 11-year-old passenger was rushed to the hospital sustaining minor abrasions.
At this moment, details regarding the causes behind this crash are not immediately available. I urge the California Highway Patrol and all law enforcement agencies investigating this accident to work hard to discover exactly what happened prior to the occurrence so similar accidents can be hopefully avoided in the future.
At this moment, the heart and thoughts of all personal injury lawyers in our firm go out to the victim’s family and loved ones during this terribly tragic moment of their lives. Our personal injury lawyers have dealt with similar accidents in the past and we know of the difficulties the families go through to cope with the loss of a loved one. Our sympathy goes out to them.
