CHP officers are investigating the cause of a fiery San Diego car crash that took place on highway 8. According to Imperial Valley Press News a man driving a Ford Explorer rear-ended a Toyota Corolla on Wednesday about 1.9 miles west of Highway 98, causing the Ford to fly off an embankment. Witnesses reported seeing the force of the collision cause the SUV to light up in flames.
A passenger in the SUV suffered whip lash during the auto accident, resulting in severe neck pains. The driver of the car that was rear ended, suffered an injury her leg. Paramedics that arrived at the scene evacuated her by helicopter to the University of California San Diego Medical Center to receive medical treatment for her injuries. All the car accident victims are expected to make a full recover.
As a San Diego car accident lawyer I find the circumstances surrounding this crash concerning. The 8 freeway is a major transportation artery through San Diego county and is the frequent location of auto collisions due to the sheer volume of vehicles that travel the route every day. If you or a loved one suffered an auto crash injury in the San Diego area, speak with a qualified personal injury lawyer to ensure your rights are protected and that you obtain the maximum amount of compensation owed to you.
