Some Say That Texting And Driving Law Should Not Be Upheld

A legislator in the state of California argued that texting while driving should not be an offense that must lead to a fine.

He suggested that the founders wanted American citizens to police themselves, not to be policed by others. The lawmaker stated that cops text while they drive and look into the computer police cars are equipped with so they are not eligible to hand out any texting while driving tickets.

Many argue that the potential to cause death by accidents caused by texting and driving is a strong enough reason to prohibit texting while behind the wheel.
