A woman lost her life when she violently crashed her on the 80 freeway near Sacramento. According to news reports, the car was speeding in a reckless manner east on the highway when she attempted to change lanes and struck the center divider. The driver then lost control of the vehicle, swerving across three lanes of traffic and onto the shoulder of the road where she flipped over and hit a tree.
The motorist was not wearing a seat-belt at the time of the crash. Paramedics were not able to resuscitate the woman who was declared dead at the car accident scene. Accident investigators believe that alcohol and speeding were factors causing the deadly vehicle crash. More information is expected to be released on the motorist in the coming days.
As a personal injury lawyer in Sacramento I urge motorists to always buckle up their seat-belts and to never drink and drive. Wearing a seat-belt can mean the difference between life and death when an auto accident takes place. If you or a loved one were hurt in a car crash, speak to a personal injury lawyer to ensure that your rights are protected.
