According to news sources, an SUV overturned on Highway 101 this morning in an accident that caused serious injury to the driver of the vehicle and left morning traffic tied up.
The incident took place this morning when the driver of an SUV traveling northbound reportedly lost control of the vehicle on the roadway, causing it to overturn and land on southbound lanes, the California Highway Patrol said. Somehow the vehicle had enough air to overturn over the concrete center divide and land on the opposing lane.
The driver of the vehicle sustained major injuries in the crash. There were no other reported injuries or collisions associated with the accident.
The roadway was reopened about an hour and a half after the accident took place.
