An unfortunate accident in East Bakersfield claimed one life, according to the local news outlets covering this occurrence. The accident occurred around 8:15 p.m. last Thursday when a big rig that was headed west on Edison Highway failed to notice a stop sign and continued to drive, which led to the big rig broadsiding a Mitsubishi Eclipse that was being driven by a 47-year-old woman.
