Three people were injured in a head-on collision Thursday afternoon in a rural area of eastern Shasta County near Burney, report news sources. According to the California Highway Patrol, at approximately 3:25 p.m., a 2007 Toyota was traveling northbound on Highway 89 south of Highway 299 when the vehicle crossed the center line, colliding head-on with a southbound 1984 Ford.
