Two men died and two were suffered major injuries in a single-vehicle accident in Avila Beach early Friday morning, report media sources. Details regarding the fatal crash are scant. According to the California Highway Patrol, at around 2:10 a.m., a silver Saturn Vue was traveling on Avila Beach Drive just west of Cave Landing Road. According to news reports, a Gonzales man died Sunday in a solo car crash when his vehicle struck a tree near Salinas. The 30-year-old man was traveling southbound when he lost control of his car.
