Microsoft Researchers are developing an in-car warning system that could prevent car accidents by automatically placing calls on hold when traffic conditions demand more of the driver’s attention. New reports say that studies have shown that the system could significantly reduce car accidents. According to data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), talking on a cell phone while driving impairs reaction time just as much as having a blood alcohol level of the legal limit of .08 percent.
